At first I don't think they knew what to think, they didn't know to open their mouths when I came at them with the spoon and once it was in their mouth they just wanted it out. We also haven't quite worked out the perfect time to eat cereal. They are too full and just want to play after their bottles & they are impatient and fussy beforehand, so right now we are trying to fit it in after their morning nap when it isn't quite time for their bottle yet. We were just starting to get the hang of the bottle, playtime, nap time schedule, and now we have to find time for cereal... and in 3 weeks we have to find more time to squeeze in a vegatable!!!
Well it's been fun watching the boys figure out what this "stuff" is I'm putting in their mouths and they are starting to get the hang of it, but it is still a messy adventure!!!
Here are some photos from the first couple days...
LOVE this face, lol... |
Cute. Glad to hear that they aren't 'fighting' the cereal. I understand the struggle with the timing of adding solids. Anything that changed my nice routine was evil but after a couple of days the boys got the hang of it and now they are anxious to eat.
ReplyDeletewe did our cereal around 7pm - 2 hours before bedtime - it helped them sleep more and worked great for us - when we added it in 2x a day we did it when they first woke up -just thougth I would share
